The Wurlitzer C-173 Grand Piano is a baby grand designed to deliver classic acoustic tone in a space-friendly size. Measuring approximately 5'8" in length, the C-173 fits comfortably in homes, studios, and teaching spaces while still offering the presence and visual appeal of a traditional grand piano. The satin ebony cabinet modern cabinets, making it both a musical instrument and a refined furniture piece.

The C-173 produces a clear, balanced tone well-suited for home practice and light performance settings. The responsive grand action allows for dynamic control and expressive playing across a wide range of styles. Its traditional grand design provides better string length and soundboard area compared to most uprights, contributing to improved tonal resonance and sustain.

Because Wurlitzer went defunct as an independent factory, the C173 is a "stencil piano". It was actually manufactured by the Korean company Samick (and occasionally Young Chang depending on the year), featuring a classic scale design by Baldwin, spruce soundboard, and 88 keys
