KIGARASHI PREMIUM AGED SOUNDBOARDS
EMBODIMENT OF HONOR, SYMBOL OF RARITY - A LIMITED EDITION TREASURE
The Shigeru Kawai Grand Piano's hand-carved soundboard is made using only the highest quality spruce and aged in a traditional kigarashi technique. This is an intensive and laborious process that uses only time and nature to bring the wood into natural balance. The result, however, is an exceptional and distinctively deep tonal resonance.
Dried for well over five years prior to being planed or worked, without accelerating the process with the use of a kiln, this method makes for amazing tone and rich sustain.

Available in strictly limited quantities, Ezo Spruce provides exceptional energy transmission and tonal projection.
